Key Takeaways
Caring for You Every Step of the Way
One of the things that makes Aesthetik Profile Plastic Surgery different is that we see surgery as the beginning of a relationship, not the end of a procedure.
While your operation is an important milestone, it is only one part of your journey. Healing takes time, every patient recovers differently, and the weeks and months after surgery are just as important as the operation itself. Our commitment is not only to achieving an excellent surgical result, but also to ensuring that you feel supported, informed and genuinely cared for throughout your recovery.
Our entire team works closely together to provide continuity of care. We know our patients well, we communicate with one another every day, and we take a genuine interest in your wellbeing. We believe that accessibility, trust and open communication are fundamental to helping you achieve the best possible outcome.
Your Follow-Up Care
Every patient’s recovery is unique, and your follow-up schedule is tailored to your individual procedure and progress.
Most patients are reviewed at approximately 1, 2, 4 and 6 weeks after surgery. We also routinely see patients again at 3 months, 6 months and 12 months, as many procedures continue to mature over time. Additional appointments are always arranged whenever they are clinically appropriate or whenever you simply need reassurance.
During your follow-up appointments we monitor your healing, assess swelling and scar maturation, provide guidance regarding activity and exercise, assist with wound and scar care, and answer any questions that arise during your recovery.
Recovery does not always follow a timetable. Occasionally patients simply need reassurance, while at other times they may require an additional review. We encourage our patients to contact us whenever they have concerns. We do our very best to remain available outside our usual clinic schedule whenever needed because we believe that knowing your surgical team is accessible provides reassurance and confidence throughout the recovery process.
The People Who Will Care for You
Every member of our team shares the same philosophy of patient care. We believe that technical excellence should always be accompanied by kindness, compassion and genuine human connection.
Danielle
If you visit our practice on a Wednesday, you will most likely meet Danielle.

Danielle has worked alongside Dr Carmen Munteanu for many years as her theatre scrub nurse and also cares for patients during their post-operative appointments in the practice. Having participated in hundreds of procedures together, she has an exceptional understanding of every stage of the surgical journey.
Her experience allows her to guide patients confidently through their recovery, often anticipating questions before they are asked. Danielle’s calm nature, attention to detail and extensive surgical knowledge make her an invaluable member of our team.
Patients often appreciate seeing a familiar face who was present during their operation and who continues to care for them throughout their recovery.
Jacquie (Jax)
Jax combines extensive nursing experience with warmth, compassion and an infectious sense of humour. She understands that recovery involves much more than dressings and wound checks. Sometimes patients simply need practical advice, reassurance or someone who will take the time to listen.
Her friendly personality helps put patients at ease, and many look forward to seeing her at each follow-up appointment. She has a wonderful ability to make people feel comfortable, supported and understood throughout their recovery.
Meredith
Many patients first meet Meredith during their hospital admission before seeing her again in our rooms after surgery. This continuity provides a familiar face throughout the recovery journey and helps create a seamless transition from hospital care back to the practice.
Meredith is known for her gentle nature, thoughtful approach and genuine compassion. She takes the time to answer questions carefully, provide reassurance and ensure that every patient feels comfortable and supported throughout the healing process.
More Than Surgery
One of the greatest privileges of our work is the long-term relationships we develop with our patients.
While our appointments naturally focus on your surgical recovery, many of our conversations extend well beyond surgery itself. We often talk about health, family, work, exercise, confidence and the many life experiences that have brought you to consider surgery in the first place.
We believe that caring for our patients means caring about the whole person, not simply the operation they have had.
Many of our patients remain part of the practice for years. Some return for additional procedures, while others simply come back to say hello, seek advice or share important milestones in their lives. Watching our patients regain confidence, embrace new opportunities and move forward in life is one of the most rewarding aspects of what we do.
Our Commitment to You
Choosing to undergo plastic surgery is a significant decision, and we consider it a privilege to be part of that journey.
From your first consultation through to your final review—and whenever you may need us afterwards—our commitment remains the same. We strive to provide thoughtful surgical care, honest advice, continuity of care and genuine support throughout every stage of your recovery.
At Aesthetik Profile Plastic Surgery, you are never just a procedure or an appointment in the diary. You are an individual, and our team is committed to helping you feel cared for, supported and confident throughout your entire journey.
We look forward to welcoming you to our practice and caring for you every step of the way.
